9/9/06 update

Hi all,
The latest and greatest on our plans is this...we've decided that since very few have given us any input on what libations they prefer.....this is what we're gonna do: Beer, Wine (red and white), and 3 signature martinis. The martini's being Apple, Watermelon, and regular vodka/vermouth. Also, we're waiting to hear back from the travel agent to see if she can get a better discounted rate at the Bellwether than we got. Her information will be posted as soon as we hear back from her. If you are interested in different hotel choices there are a few near the Bellingham airport. Those links are posted on the right. One of the cool bonuses to the Bellwether is that there is a "sea taxi" that takes guests from the hotel over to the Boathouse/Marina. No need to worry about drinking and driving that way! We can make arrangements with the sea taxi people to block out 2 separate times so they can bring a group over at once and cut costs for everyone. Don't forget we are providing child supervision and there will also be "kid friendly" meals provided for them. If those of you who are bringing your children have any food considerations for them or anyone else for that matter, please let us know so that we can let the caterer know as soon as possible. And please don't forget to send us your snail mail addresses ASAP, invites are going out soon.

Save the Date ... June 9-10, 2007!

Here is the Squalicum Boathouse where we are arranging hors d'oeuvres and drinks for our reception. It opens up to a gorgeous park (c0mplete with a small playground for kids to play) and is in the marina at the Port of Bellingham. The date is set for June 9th. of 2007 so mark your calendars. We will be sending out invites soon that require RSVP's for the food and the block of hotel rooms we're trying to get. There is a fantastic hotel at the port as well called the Hotel Bellwether and their number is (877) 411-1200. We are also planning to put contact info for a travel agent to make is easier for everyone to make flight arrangements, book their hotels, rent a car if you would like, etc.

The day after the reception, we would like to invite everyone to our house for a barbeque.
